Two cheapies from one of Columbia House's periodic Clearance Sales - fairly certain they were each $1.99 before tax and "shipping & handling".
- I loved the Minds' previous effort but had slept on Sparkle In The Rain based on the two singles I had heard: "Waterfront" and "Up On The Catwalk" Dubbed album off radio more than a year ago, so it was about time I purchased it outright.
- Shalamar's 8th album featured two songs that had been included on movie soundtracks as well as two additional members - it marked the end of the Howard Hewett era (and my Shalamar fandom) as he left the group for a solo career after fulfilling his promotional obligations for Heart Break.
