My infatuation with the musical stylings of Ms. Hendryx began with her second album titled Nona (1982) and continued up through this album until 1987's Female Trouble. I bought the albums without hearing them first because she earned that respect with her work on that 1982 album. Plus, she was all over the map and fit in no radio format. This album spun off two very low charting R&B singles. She was a very visual artist and probably had music videos but I don't recall ever seeing them at the time. She worked with talented people and inspired her peers to write, play and produce for her. Might be time to re-investigate her works.
